College
Upon graduating from Escola Nova by SIS, our students are prepared to continue their studies anywhere in the world, taking with them immeasurable cultural knowledge, critical thinking, and the certificates that give them advantages and confidence for any path they choose.
Escola Nova by SIS
Upon entering college at Escola Nova by SIS, students can choose to take part in the worldwide recognised IB Diploma Programme (IB DP) in addition to following the national curriculum. Therefore, at the end of Year 12, they can obtain the Brazilian College Certificate as well as the IB Diploma. We prepare students for both the national exam Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (ENEM) and entrance exams for Brazilian universities as well as for admission to the best international universities according to their option.
During college, students have the opportunity to take specific subjects in English. In addition, they continue with language studies, preparing them for language proficiency diplomas.
Students participate in special classes and simulated exams focused on the national college entrance exams and can also take extra courses in maths, science, and writing according to their specific needs.
Among the assessments carried out during the IB Diploma Programme (IB DP), students develop, with the guidance of a supervisor, the Extended Essay, an in-depth study of a topic related to one of the IB disciplines offered.
Our main priority is to enable students to understand their natural, technical and cultural surroundings in Brazil as well as on an international level. This includes, among other things, educational excursions, camps, day trips to cultural and scientific institutions, visits to theatres, participation in athletic and academic competitions and artistic performances in various cultural spheres as well as projects with local communities.
International Baccalaureate (IB)
Students enrolled at Escola Nova by SIS have the option to take part in the IB Diploma Programme (IB DP). The IB DP is an academically challenging graduation programme that is respected and recognised by leading universities across the globe.
