We foster and encourage the development of students' responsibility and autonomy while valuing global citizenship and preparing them for college.
Escola Nova by SIS
We follow the Brazilian national curriculum (Base Nacional Comum Curricular, BNCC), organising its components into fields of knowledge while at the same time promoting the connection between different disciplines.
Our students continue with the study of English and Spanish as foreign languages and have the possibility to prepare for language certificates.
Students develop several projects, putting into practice a number of skills acquired throughout their secondary school years. These skills involve time management, planning, critical thinking and transfer of learning, to name a few. As a school that values culture and different forms of expression, we organise events such as Saraus, literature projects, and the Film Festival, the latter designed to encourage audiovisual production culminating in a ceremony that awards students in categories such as scriptwriting, production, direction, art, and editing. In addition to these cultural activities, our students also participate in external evaluations of maths and science.
At the end of secondary school, our students are prepared to enter the Escola Nova by SIS college.
